The Voyages of Captain Cook by Rex and Thea Rienits is a good outline, and a good beginning for further study of the three extraordinary voyages taken by Cook. The book makes no pretense of being an in-depth examination of the life or significance of Cook, but it does an adequate job of providing chronological facts in clear language. The photographs of Pacific Island artifacts and of shipboard navigational instruments are interesting and add some depth. My one criticism is that there should show more have been more maps with more detail of place names provided. show less
Very short but well written; lots of good decorative art plates.
