I am destroyed!!!
Sergio by Natasha Knight has ripped my heart out and stomped all over it.
Leaving behind a bloody mangled mess.
I knew exactly what I was getting myself into from the get-go.
So I have nobody else to blame but my own stubborn arse for thinking I could handle the fallout of such a profound and deeply emotional read.
I am not saying a word about plotline or character development, what made this good, what got on show more my proverbial wick.
Why I liked this one and why I wanted to kick that one's arse.
All I'm going to say is read "Sergio" a Dark Mafia Romance, and prepare yourself.
You are going to be ripped limb from limb and left sobbing like a baby.
I can't even talk about this book without tears dripping down my face.
My DP thinks I've lost the plot, you know what he said, people?
You do know their fictional Characters "BOO" like not real people, made up?
How dare he!! they feel so real, alive and vital to me.
And that there lies the crux of this conundrum.
If an author can make you experience such depths of emotional despair than that is, in my humble opinion, one hell of a writer.
And this author is ultimately one brave lady, telling this story exactly how she envisioned it.
Not how others wanted it.
I'm impressed, still broken but entirely bowing down to your genius here.
So I am going to finish on this note "Sergio" is a story that will live in the depths of your soul long after the lights go out.
Its a beautiful, poignant tale of love and life gone wrong, where the ultimate attraction is in the actual realism portrayed between its pages.
This is a story that needed to be told and I feel richer overall for this humbling experience.
I am ever so glad I got to read this ARC and though not a newcomer to Natasha Knight this was definitely different to what I usually expect from her scribblings.
Different in a good way that is, it's certainly been a memorable journey, one that I am so not going to forget in a hurry.
I adored your unconventional love story, Sergio & Natalie and you both definitely deserve your moment in that spotlight.
Thank You to the Author for providing me with an ARC of "Sergio" A Dark Mafia Romance of which I have reviewed voluntary.
All opinions expressed are entirely my own.

This book hooked me from the very first scene. When Cassian Trevino appeared in the shadows of Allegra’s home. Cassian is ruthless, obsessive, and morally gray in the best way, while Allegra is fierce, smart, and refuses to break, which made me love her instantly. Their chemistry is explosive, toxic, addictive, and impossible to look away from. The power plays, secrets, and constant tension kept me turning pages like a maniac. The mafia politics are gripping, and the stakes only get higher show more as the fragile truce shatters. If you love dark mafia romance with obsession, danger, and a heroine who fights back, this is a must-read. show less
GOOD LORD... This author duo can write some suspense mixed with just enough darkness that it keeps me on the edge of my seat. This book picks up where the last book ended and kept me going until the very end. I am not even kidding when I say that this is suspenseful. Just when I thought I had things figured out things changed.
There is so much at play here. Between Mercedes, Abel, The Society, and even Santiago himself I had no idea what to think. What I do know is that not all the secrets show more with Santiago's past have come to light and I am all aboard this crazy train to get the answers. I almost wanted to cry when it ended on a WICKED cruel cliffhanger.
The authors did a great job at digging deeper into the characters and their motivations and I was mesmerized watching them grow. I felt their emotions from the simple things of being cold to the desire for love and vengeance. Santiago is a complex character but I felt like Ivy is cracking that armor. I wanted to almost cry by a certain scene at the end of the book. That is the sign of good writing when authors can make me experience real emotions. The authors have created this amazing story that I didn't know that I even needed and or wanted.
This is an amazing story that continually builds on mystery, suspense, a sprinkle of darkness, chemistry despite the odds, and a deep-seated desire for seeking justice. And don't even get me started on the steamy times... some of the best hate smex ever.
I need the conclusion like I need air to breathe. They killed it with another amazing cover and story and so far this trilogy is going in my best of 2021. Kudos to the author for creating this amazing book.

This was a great conclusion to Santiago and Ivy's story. There was a sense of peace after reading this because this trilogy has been filled with such upheaval. The suspense and mystery often gave way to a sense of foreboding that I often found myself on the edge of my seat waiting for something else to come along.
I really enjoyed the characters in this one and LOVED watching Santiago evolve into something other than the villain that he saw himself as. I enjoyed watching him grow in show more all the ways. He still had to grasp the darkness that was a part of him but I loved watching how he rationalized and, eventually, accepted what others saw in him. His love for Ivy was epic. I loved the lengths that he went to show that, especially, at a certain part of the story.
I struggled a bit more with Ivy in this one because of how she kept trying to rationalize Abel and his actions. In some ways, I can see that is part of her nature, after all, she fell in love with Santiago despite his actions throughout this story. I also struggled with Mercedes and her actions, all though I did like watching her with Judge. I think there is a story there and I hope that the authors will think about writing that.
Eva almost stole this show though. I loved her character and the things that she did at a certain part and also her relationship with Santiago. This was a great trilogy and one that I think many people would like, with just the right amount of darkness, vengeance, and eventual redemption.
Off-topic, love this cover too. All the covers of this trilogy have been unique and aesthetically pleasing. show less
