The little book is written from the perspective of a member of the churches of Christ. Each chapter includes a number of "Questions for Review and Discussion," which are intended to help the reader keep track of the good guys from the bad ones.

While the author does not attempt to hide his biases, he attempts to do the impossible by covering the history of the Stone-Campbell religious tradition (up to 1969) in 83 pages. The book likely was, and perhaps still is, useful for persons wishing to show more know some highlights (and lowlights) of the American Restoration Movement.

I found the book to be a good read. Due to its brevity and perspective its title, "The STORY of the Restoration," is much better stated than if it were titled "The HISTORY of the Restoration."

There is no index for the book and one would be helpful.
