This book holds up to its name as it traces the history and evolution of the entire Louis Vuitton collection, from lowly laundry bag to the classic monogram and beyond. The sparse commentary acts to illuminate the plethora of photographs, diagrams, and lineages without cluttering up the visual aspects too much/ The inclusion of step-by-step construction is an oddity for a book of this type, but it is a feature of much use to future fashion researchers I imagine and I found it to provide a show more much needed break from the colourful bags (of which there are almost too many). Overall a unique take. show less
