- Description
- I hear the phrase “I’d love to read Sci-Fi or Fantasy, but there aren’t any [BLANK] people writing it!” so often that I feel like a lot of people might not know where to start. This is a year long book club for readers wanting to explore Sci-Fi/Fantasy written by diverse authors, including people of colour, women, and LGBTQ+ people. We’ll be looking at deep cuts and new authors, epic and contemporary, classics and hidden gems. Let’s explore the range of SF/F together!

- mrstauff: This is a classic fantasy book from one of the giants of SF/F, exploring identity, power, religion, and isolation. We follow the young Arha, the First Priestess of the Nameless Ones, after she is pulled from her family to learn how to tend and protect the pitch, black underground labyrinth that is the domain of the Nameless Ones. But when she finds an intruder inside her sacred darkness, will she be able to do what the Nameless Ones (and the other priestesses) demand of her?
