About My Library

I still buy far too many books, my unread outnumber my read ones, but it's a nice struggle! I aim to read over 120 books each year, and to review most of the books I read - Do let me know what you think, (expanded reviews and comments are on my blog 'AnnaBookBel' http://www.annabookbel.net/ and also http://shinynewbooks.co.uk which I co-founded and co-edit).

I mostly read contemporary and 20thC literature, I love crime and spy novels, and sometimes revert to SF&F. In non-fiction I read esp good biographies, anything rock'n'roll and popular science/medical books).

In 2025 I read 110 books 24 earned 10/10. In 2026, I've read 17 books so far, 3 of which get 10/10
