Two days in and I've already bought three books. It was at a DVD, CD and Book sale at the convention centre nearby, so I thought I'd check it out.

Oh my gosh I love Christmas gifts! But even better, honestly, is returning Christmas gifts, getting store credit, and buying books! I got two copies of Fragile Things this year and a duplicate of Gilmore Girls season #4, so I took them back and, voila, had $90 to spend at B&N. I bought:

Princess Academy
Book of a Thousand Days
Here There Be Dragons
Shakespeare: the World as Stage by Bill Bryson (not sure why the touchstone isn't working)
The Night Before Christmas cut paper edition (really cool)
two hardcover Batman dailies collections
and a couple of gifts for other people.

Hooray for book shopping!

I just joined this group and love the idea behind it! I am guilty of buying books that I will not get to reading anytime soon (even though I should maybe stop this behavior in order to make some inroads!). That said, I bought two books today:

The English Patient - highly recommened by my cousin
Health Care Meltdown: Confronting the Myths and Fixing Our Failing System - Since I work in healthcare I find it beneficial understanding the indsutry.

I won't list all the books I got this weekend. It was over 50 from a thrift shop book sale at Yesterday's Rose in Fairfax, Virginia. Most of these books will be given away to new BookCrossers at some upcoming book festivals or meetings, but a few I'm saving for family and friends. I also scored two pristine copies of The Kite Runner! Each of the 50+ books I got cost me about 16 cents!

...well, the books I bought today are both graphic novels, and I had a coupon to use on one of them (thank god!), but still...

-Buffy The Vampire Slayer Season 8: The Long Way Home
-Serenity: Those Left Behind

Both Joss Whedon shows/comics. What can I say, I'm a fangirl. (Except of Angel...the show. Ew. Loved the character; hated the show.)
