Apologies if I missed an already-established thread!

Looks like The Lost Summer Of Louisa May Alcott is on its way to me -- and I'm ridiculously excited! I have a thing for fictionalized memoirs of famous female authors. I'm reading Romancing Miss Bronte now and enjoyed The Lost Memoirs of Jane Austen a few years back.

Edited to fix a touchstone!

I just got notice that I will be receiving The Exile of Sarah Stevenson by Darci Hannah. I love when I get books from the Random House imprints because they usually come incredibly quickly and tend to be really quite good.

Posted this in the 'March Batch' thread and will post it here, too:

"I sent email to both Sonya and Mike this morning. This seems eerily similar to what happened in January when the Algorithm only sent out about 1/3 (1/2?) of the notices and then mysteriously stopped. It took days for them reset/rerun everything. Still, there's a chance it sent out all the actual 'you won' notices and just didn't send the 'sorry, you're a LOSER' notices this time. ;o) Although the 'What did you snag' thread seems a bit shorter than it should be. Either way, something isn't right and I'm sure they'll fix it in the next couple of days."

Want to add that I emailed Tim as well. Haven't heard from any of them yet. My guess is that they are all still asnooze.

Mar 31, 2010, 11:17 am

I'm guessing those of us who haven't heard aren't getting anything.

The first person in the thread starts with a "w" indicating must of the congratulation notices went out.

I suppose it's possible that the notifications got stuck midway through the w's, but I doubt it.

It is also unlikely that it got stuck for the two book people. I doubt I won two as I didn't request an e-book this batch and most of the physical books I wanted were in high demand.

Still it would be nice to hear something.

84sonyagreen
Mar 31, 2010, 11:55 am

Hey all! Sorry for all the confusion. We'll update you on this thread:
http://www.librarything.com/topic/87890

So yesterday, I peeked at the end of the script (or so I thought), which had run alphabetically, and had finished. (_zoe_ was the last person).

Turns out, what I was looking at was the "Inform everyone that the March batch is up" script from the beginning of the month. I peeked at the wrong script.

So, Mike's looking at where the "Inform everyone if they won or not" script stopped working. I have to leave to go close on the condo I'm buying (in a FEMA-declared flood disaster county -- more paperwork!) but will be back in a few hours to update you if Mike hasn't already. Again, we're going to update on the thread linked to above (it's called "March Batch").

In reference to Message 92, Mike, this is the second month in a row I've been awarded a book. NOT COMPLAINING. However, I haven't received a message for those last 2 books that I was awarded. The yellow "Comment" banner shows up at the top, but then there is no comment to read. I've just started automatically going to my "Books Received" page to check if a new book shows up there since I'm not receiving awards or denial messages.

God of the Hive--and I am ecstatic having read all of Laurie King from A Grave Talent on. And the last Holmes-Russell book left us dangling in the middle of the story, which is not my favorite literary device, so I will be especially happy to finish the tale.

I received in the mail today a copy of Rooms by James L. Rubart. I book that I did not win, nor did I request. And to be completely honest I don't really care to read. I really, really hope that I will still get the book I was told I won by Lisa Gardner, which is even a diferent publisher. My thought is to pass this along to someone that will enjoy this book more than I would and/or my local library. Any thoughts as to what I should do, and what happened?
