Apologies if I missed an already-established thread!
Looks like The Lost Summer Of Louisa May Alcott is on its way to me -- and I'm ridiculously excited! I have a thing for fictionalized memoirs of famous female authors. I'm reading Romancing Miss Bronte now and enjoyed The Lost Memoirs of Jane Austen a few years back.
Edited to fix a touchstone!

The Whole World by Emily Winslow will be heading my way. cool.

I just got notice that I will be receiving The Exile of Sarah Stevenson by Darci Hannah. I love when I get books from the Random House imprints because they usually come incredibly quickly and tend to be really quite good.
4lisally
I will be getting The Vanishing of Katharina Linden, the one I wanted most!

I'm getting The Left Hand of God! Looking forward to it - thanks, Sonya and the mighty algorithm.

A Vintage Affair by Isabel Wolff (Bantam Dell) 2nd in two months. Loving this!
18blakefraina
Oh boy, you'r brave. I was too chicken to rent the film. Somehow, I imagine reading that story will be even more creep-tastic.
19NWADEL
Broken: A Novel by Karen Slaughter. Love her books, can't wait to read this one.
20CKmtl
The Left Hand of God. I'm nearly finished my current book, so this one will seamless skip my TBR pile if it doesn't take too long in the mail.
21MikeBriggs
From small experience I've found "sorry" messages sent second. So . . . guess I'm not getting anything this time. Nothing, if I am correct, since November 2008. Can't believe I do not fit any book since then. But then again . . . do not have that sorry message yet. :)
22Belladonna1975
I'm getting The Exile of Sara Stevenson. I am very excited about this one!!

I wonder how fast after you've won that your 'books you've won page is updated? because mine hasn't updated yet, so another tick against me... :(
25prmorgan
I'm getting Lisa Gardner's new book. I'm excited. I have read every book she's written, so I'm sure I will just inhale this one as soon as it arrives.
26janemarieprice
Woohoo! I got An American Type by Henry Roth.
27clamairy
#24 - Mine either, but I never checked it before a notice, or right after one, either. I'm not going to be too sad if I don't get anything this time. I got six in a row over the last half year. That was a record for me!
28readafew
27 > If I don't win, I can't really complain either, I've won 10 in a row, I was sorta hoping to make it a full year though.
29she_climber
#25 - I'm getting Lisa Gardner's new one too!!! I have to run out and get The Neighbor since I try and wait until they come out in paperback but this time I can't wait. I need to be up to speed. Paperback isn't released until 6/22 and the new one is coming out on 7/13 -so excited to be getting such an advanced copy!
30RedBowlingBallRuth
I just got a message saying I am to recieve The River Between by Jacquelyn Cook. This will be my first ever ER book, so I'm excited. It's too bad that so few books are available outside the USA and Canada though.
31clamairy
#28 - *SSSSHHH* Someone is sure to get out the torches and pitchforks. ;o)
I won 11 over the last 12 months, so I know I am due for a 'sorry.' (One of those was a bonus book, BTW.)

49MrsLee
The God of the Hive! *Does a Happy Chair Dance* I'm still waiting for my February book, so it's going to be twice the fun. :)
50clamairy
Not a single person has posted that they've heard that they aren't getting anything yet. I wonder when/if the SORRY's will be going out.
51ark76
Has anyone benefitted from the new rule allowing 2. If we have been told about 1, does that mean it will definitely only be 1 or might we still hear about a 2nd?
521dragones
I'll be getting The River Between by Jacquelyn Cook.
Edited because the darned touchstone works in composition mode, but not after I post the message. Resorted to good, old-fashioned HTML instead.

Posted this in the 'March Batch' thread and will post it here, too:
"I sent email to both Sonya and Mike this morning. This seems eerily similar to what happened in January when the Algorithm only sent out about 1/3 (1/2?) of the notices and then mysteriously stopped. It took days for them reset/rerun everything. Still, there's a chance it sent out all the actual 'you won' notices and just didn't send the 'sorry, you're a LOSER' notices this time. ;o) Although the 'What did you snag' thread seems a bit shorter than it should be. Either way, something isn't right and I'm sure they'll fix it in the next couple of days."
Want to add that I emailed Tim as well. Haven't heard from any of them yet. My guess is that they are all still asnooze.

I'm guessing those of us who haven't heard aren't getting anything.
The first person in the thread starts with a "w" indicating must of the congratulation notices went out.
I suppose it's possible that the notifications got stuck midway through the w's, but I doubt it.
It is also unlikely that it got stuck for the two book people. I doubt I won two as I didn't request an e-book this batch and most of the physical books I wanted were in high demand.
Still it would be nice to hear something.

Hey all! Sorry for all the confusion. We'll update you on this thread:
http://www.librarything.com/topic/87890
So yesterday, I peeked at the end of the script (or so I thought), which had run alphabetically, and had finished. (_zoe_ was the last person).
Turns out, what I was looking at was the "Inform everyone that the March batch is up" script from the beginning of the month. I peeked at the wrong script.
So, Mike's looking at where the "Inform everyone if they won or not" script stopped working. I have to leave to go close on the condo I'm buying (in a FEMA-declared flood disaster county -- more paperwork!) but will be back in a few hours to update you if Mike hasn't already. Again, we're going to update on the thread linked to above (it's called "March Batch").

Thanks to everyone for reporting the missing notifications. The script that notifies winners/non-winners/publishers (in that order) simply died midway through notifying winners. Sorry, my fault, it's resuming now. -Mike

Thanks Mike. Just got my 'you aren't getting anything' message which was pretty much what I figured I'd get this month anyway :-)

Still working on the people who got no message. I was wrong, some people were both not informed and not added to the master winner list so if you haven't been notified you probably won something (let's wait and see though). Stay tuned... -Mike

It's been quite a dramatic ER month, hasn't it?
109PensiveCat
Ha, as soon as I posted the above, I got my notice. I'm getting Time Among The Dead, making this my first two month in a row streak, I think. Thanks!
110lahochstetler
108- Definitely!
I just this moment received a notice that I won Dead End Gene Pool and I'm delighted. So, there's still hope!

113ForeignCircus
yay! I'm getting Seeing Stars- this makes for two successful months in a row after an 11 month drought!
114sonyagreen
I was wrong about the alphabetical -- I was looking at the wrong script (the "it's the beginning of the month and ER is up!" script). Mike said the order is winners/nonwinners/publishers.

I'm getting The Tricking of Freya. Looks wonderful!
116crazy4reading
Wow what a nice surprise!!! Work let out early today and when I left I still had not received my message and I was figuring I didn't win anything. I come home and decide to check to see if I have any messages and I see 'new message' in yellow and figure here is my 'you didn't win anything this month' message but I was wrong. I won The Broken Blue Line by Connie Dial.
I now need to finish my current ER read so that I can be ready for this book. First time I have won books in consecutive months. Doing happy dance and smiling from ear to ear. This has been a wonderful day for me!!!!!

> 112 No sweat, ltmike, I can only imagine the complexity of this process and the coding of it.
I ended up getting a comment and a win message for Critical Care, and the entry in my winners page includes it. However, the message in the ER module on my Home page still indicates 1 book received and reviewed (referring to February). Perhaps that refreshes overnight?
Anyway, FYI, and thanks not only for the diligent corrections, but also keeping us posted on developments. Made all the difference, even if I'd not won anything.

In reference to Message 92, Mike, this is the second month in a row I've been awarded a book. NOT COMPLAINING. However, I haven't received a message for those last 2 books that I was awarded. The yellow "Comment" banner shows up at the top, but then there is no comment to read. I've just started automatically going to my "Books Received" page to check if a new book shows up there since I'm not receiving awards or denial messages.
138MikeBriggs

I will be receiving Broken by Karin Slaughter. She is my favorite author!!

God of the Hive--and I am ecstatic having read all of Laurie King from A Grave Talent on. And the last Holmes-Russell book left us dangling in the middle of the story, which is not my favorite literary device, so I will be especially happy to finish the tale.

I am getting Girl in Translation by Jean Kwok. I am excited because it is one of the books I really hoped I would get. Can't wait to get it and read it.

I'm getting "An American Type" by Henry Roth. . . . and when I took my copies of "Call it Sleep" off of the shelf I found I had newspaper article stashed inside the hardback, and it and the paperback each had different notes about Roth and the book ~~~ so I feel like a one-person seminar!
182AStarIsBorn
I am getting The Vanishing of Katharina Linden and I am So Excited! That was my first choice! :)

I received in the mail today a copy of Rooms by James L. Rubart. I book that I did not win, nor did I request. And to be completely honest I don't really care to read. I really, really hope that I will still get the book I was told I won by Lisa Gardner, which is even a diferent publisher. My thought is to pass this along to someone that will enjoy this book more than I would and/or my local library. Any thoughts as to what I should do, and what happened?

I am getting The Sword: Chiveis Trilogy by Bryan Litfin. Now I just need to finish my last ER book. Wish I could stop coughing long enough to sit down and enjoy the read. Very excited about this new book. I hope it doesn't disappoint.

Getting God of the Hive and am rereading the earlier novels in the series in celebration and for context. Brain like sieve.

I received a very nice message from Denise Scarfi at W.W. Norton, letting me know that my March "snag," An American Type by Henry Roth, is on its way. I'm pretty sure that's the first time I've ever heard from a publisher or author before the book arrives.
197OodsAteMyDingo
Broken by Karin Slaughter.
I am so excited to read this!!

I just requested a bunch of the April books. I really want Small Island and have it on my wish list, but so many of the others look good too. What do you think, better to request just one and hope to get it or go with the shotgun approach in hopes of getting something?
200Foretopman
I'm getting Time of Terror by Seth Hunter, probably because my library is chock full of Forester, O'Brian, Cornwell, Woodman, and Stockwin.
201bluemist
I got The River Between this March. It is so sad outside USA and Canada ; we get only E-books. I really really want to receive a physical book. Let me keep fingers crossed for April Batch.
