I really, really liked this series but I didn't like Ryzard and i am afraid i am not keen on this one.
A pet hate i have is when the characters 'muse' in their own heads, the H and h do this ALOT. it's probably because neither of them have much of a social life for their own reasons but it seemed a long time before Kenzie gets on the app. The idea of the story is excellent, Kenzie is on the run, Nash is isolated for his own reasons, he talks tough to avoid getting too personal, she comes show more across tough because she's had to work hard to be free of her history but i just didn't really like either of them. show less
I loved this book! In J.K. Harper's story, Protector Wolf, she explores a new situation for Shifters we don't see very often. I enjoyed being able to explore a bunch of different Shifters at once. In this box set, you will see everything from Dragons and Leopards to Wolves and Bears, and quite a few unlikely candidates in between. So, come take a trip with these wonderful authors and get your Shifter fix. I know I did! I just can't stop wanting more. These stories, even though they are kind show more of short, are fully explored and make for great afternoon reads. show less
I liked this series at the start. The story-line is a good premise. Traumatized teacher, left scared and bear shifter with issues, to reveal what they are would be a spoiler but it's clever.
It's just I have a pet hate of characters talking to themselves either out loud or in their heads, narration. I really dislike it and this book has loads of it.
I was given this ARC in return for an honest review and I loved the story!! Recluse, Leigh Canvey vowed to never be hurt again when his parents left him as a child on a camping trip. He would have been dead if not for the female bear that took him as if he was one of her own cubs. As he grew to be a tall strapping man he and his new clan brothers helped him build a cabin atop the mountain above Hope Valley. At the weddings of his brothers one of the wives talked him into signing up for a show more mate on a dating site with the promise of beer and against his better judgement he agreed. What was he thinking when he had everything he needed and was happy with a life without a mate?

Flame haired and fiery tempered Scottish, Adaria McKenzie traveled to America to find her a shifter mate only to find him and he was too afraid to be in society! She had a new job doing research and needed to be close to her work while he wanted to stay atop his mountain. What were the chances that they could ever find their true mates? Will they have to give up each other?
