The Consumer's Guide to Effective Environmental Choices: Practical Advice from The Union of Concerned Scientists by Michael Brower
This book is a bit dated (from 1999), but most of the advice is still appropriate. The authors do a good job of focusing on the most significant actions people can take.

Read this book start acting on its recommendations NOW!
