This is my favorite historical fiction book. I've read it 6 times or more. I recently thought about it and am close to starting to read it again. I love the twists and turns of this books, right up to the end. Not sure what it is about British historical fiction that I like but have many volumes of it. I think I would have loved to be a fly on the wall during the time of King Henry the VIII.
Heyeresque in dialog, humor, and plotting. Good read.
