D. L. Carter, I do believe I hate you! I began to read your book while I was in the midst of a lot of work, figuring it would be something I could use to escape in small doses from my work. I sat down with a cup of tea and started reading. The next I knew, my tea was gone, hours had passed, and I had finished the book. It was wonderful! I loved it! When is the next one going to be available?!?
As clearly telegraphed by the title, this Regency romance was unrealistic, historically inaccurate, and absurd. It was also very entertaining. Cinderella meets Victor/Victoria meets Identity Thief. I probably gave it one more star than it really deserves, but I just finished reading it on my vacation while sitting on my balcony at the beach, and I‰ÃƒÂ›Ã‚ªm feeling generous :).
This is the first book I have read by D.L. Carter and I have to say it did not disappoint. The witch and scientist part was a brilliant way to share the characters and I thought that the author wrote this brilliantly. It was well written and it kept me interested the entire book. I will definitely read another book by this author.

Are there problems with this book? Yes, a couple. But they are insignificant. Why? Because the story and the writing more than overcome them. I only remember 2 or 3 small editing problems & there is a section in the story that is bogged down just a bit.

However, DO NOT let what I just said keep you from reading this book! You would be missing out on a great adventure into a unique world filled with intrigue and amazing characters. This book is a show more treasure. With great skill the main characters, Eioth and Halidan, are created on these pages to become genuine, their world authentic and easily seen in your minds eye. So many elements brought together that will satisfy you on so many levels.

A Fully Satisfying Read!
