A children’s book written in the 60’s about nuclear science and energy. I found the audiobook a little hard to follow at times, but overall it was interesting and informative. I didn’t realise that nuclear power plants and nuclear medicine were being utilised by the 60’s. The book does not mention nuclear weapons. And as I listened to the enthusiastic hopes for the usefulness of nuclear energy I couldn’t help thinking of Chernobyl, Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and the ongoing threat of show more nuclear weapons. Nonetheless, it’s good to read a book that focuses on the positives. show less
Fine black & white illustrations, and a good explanation of the bee's dance, to "tell the other bees which way to go and how far to fly."
