Gunnar Harding

As a first introduction to New Orleans jazz-history I liked this. Lots of interesting stories and overall entertaining to read. I also get the sense that the author is passionate about the subject, he seems to have gone quite in-depth in his research.But, fear not, the text is not overloaded with unnecessary facts. If you are going to New Orleans I would recommend you read this first to get a sense of the place and its myths, legends and history. Also, it´s nice to read something that´s show more written pre-katrina. show less
