Baker comes across as a fascinating character in this documentary which presents several conflicting views of his life and career. It isn't all that compelling overall, but the women in Baker's life are always fascinating to listen to. Baker's recordings also provide an appropriate background, although his singing, especially in his later years, isn't "good" in any traditional way. But when the film is over, you will at least feel you have come to know the man. That is worth a lot.

Bruce Weber's photos of male bodies in nature prefaced by the poem "Gold Day" by Reynolds Price. One of the most sought after male erotic photography books of the 20th century! Published in a very small and limited print run. Cream linen cloth boards with titles embossed on cover and spine in white. 9 page poem by Reynolds Price. Over 100 rich gravure photographic plates. Widely regarded as the photographer’s finest work, and surely his most celebrated book.
