The authors of this book endeavor (and succeed) in pulling the many theories of learning (and their various meanings for the same words) into one basic theory of learning or rather provides the ability to understand the various theories of learning by using terms consistently throughout the book. The book focuses on three main topics: 1) Working Memory, 2) Knowledge, and 3) Motivation. They indicate that these 3 topics are common to all extent theories of learning. The book looks extensively show more at these three topics, then moves to application, describing how learning might look depending on your viewpoint.
