This book talks about the different heights you can go with your imagination while playing H.O.R.S.E.
I would recommend this to a PE teacher or Elementary school teacher who wants to engage their students in a fun new sport that encourages their imaginations growth.

Amazing introductory book for kids to understand the game of HORSE. I think that the illustrations/pictures are fantastic and the way the book is organized really add to the story. It follows an imaginative group of guys who play horse and imagine what they could do if there were no limits. This book would be good to implement some HHP into the lesson or to introduce sports to kids in the classroom. It would also be a great example of how kids could work on imaginary/fantasy text.

They begin debating over who should go first, and then they both start imagining and creating unique ways they would start off the game. The ways involve the ball leaving Earth, and bouncing off objects, and always finding its way back into the net. This book is helpful because it represents two African American friends in a very universal way, they are having fun and being very creative in their ideas about how they would make the first basket. I would use this book by having it in my classroom library, so that students who like to play basketball or horse can find it and relate to it.… (more)

Primary. This book is about two kids who decide to play the basketball game of H.O.R.S.E. Through their competition they use lots of imagination in how they will beat each other. I personally did not find this book super interesting, but it might be a good option for your students who like sports.
