Stewardesses have affairs with Broadway producers who turn out to be queer and quite kinky, and with married Chrysler salesmen who aren't really going to leave their wives in Kansas City. Then they decide the life of a flight attendant is too rough for them and they go back to Philadelphia and White River Junction, respectively. This shocking tale seems to be written to talk little girls into marrying and becoming suburban housewives, because the big, bad world out there is, well, big and bad.
Loved the actor. Outside of the introduction, hated and despised him. He's a well read, intelligent man, but outside of a few comments, there is little in these pages that makes it worth reading. Big mistake reading this thing. I truly wish I hadn't.
Okay, the 5 stars are because I was such a big fan of Charlton Heston way back when. Maybe the book should have 4 stars? Not sure. I really enjoyed it.
