Really sweet book about belonging. Quick, good characters. Classic Spinelli— a tinge of sadness, but overall such a heartwarming story. Like soup on a cold, rainy day.

{my thoughts} - I was unsure about this book when I first started to read it. I did fall in love with Stargirl. She is a really unique individual that isn’t afraid to be herself. Throughout the entire book she is the girl that seems to have come from another culture, she is outgoing and not afraid to show others who she really is. Towards the end of the book she struggles with the person she is and the person others would like her to be….. This is often the case with many teenagers and is a really nice read for anyone looking for cozy book to read for a couple of days.

{reason for reading} - It was recommended by a friend.

{my thoughts} - I wasn’t as interested in this book as I was in the first. I did read it all the way through, but I think it was the diary form type writing that lost me. I don’t care for diary written novels. It was well written just not my kind of book I suppose one would say. It more or less is an extremely large letter between Stargirl and her boyfriend Leo. She tells him all the things that she thinks that he needs to know in order for her to move forward and in hopes that he too can move forward with their lives. It’s an alright book, I just couldn’t really keep my nose buried into the writing style.

{reason for reading} - It was recommended by a friend.
