Retrospective of Historical Fiction

Description: This is intended to represent a broad survey of historical fiction from many different periods in time. I am using it to guide my exploration of this genre. Please thumbs up any recommendations you have. Note: Some selections may not be strictly historical fiction, but I'm including them because I enjoyed them and because I think they offered an interesting perspective on historical events.
