Sweet tale with absolutely gorgeous illustrations.
If I was still teaching I would use this book for a social lesson and also do a related art lesson.
(I just ordered note cards with some of the book illustrations on them!)

Folklore meets graphic arts!
This amazing book was not made as a children's picture book, but it can be. It is a gorgeous piece of art. The imagery and story blend fantastically. This is a book for any age, a child who enjoys folktales, the older ones who appreciate precious books, the artist who can enjoy the beautiful graphics, or anyone else you can think of. This tale is lovely and a great way to talk about fear with children. Beautiful with emotionally provoking imagery.
I want to own this book and then share it with the adults and children in my life!… (more)
