I thought to play e.g. "Hunter"S" (31)
on "Hunter" (30) was permissible. Is there a rule against it? Is it because of LTʻs systemic aversion to apostrophes?

Thanks, @Amanda, for the clarification; but as for apostrophes
I don't see anything "fine" about them,, the way LT works for me

Thanks for r-ativating the thread.
Iʻll take your word for it, and I deleted
the WordS > Word play, but, as I remember
it, this game does allow a singular to be played on a plural of the previous, and vice-versa.
The rules in (1) donʻt rule that out. You may have it mixed up with another game for which @mobilomaniac wrote the rule which DOES indeed specify that the word put into the next post must be EXACTLY the same a a word of the previous post

It's not about plural/singular; it's that the first word of a title must be the last word of the previous title. You have been playing titles that share any word with the previous title, which is a different game.
