1) Each entry must have three titles. The last word of the first title must be the first word of the second title, the first word of the third title must be the last word of the second title.
2) The first word of a new entry must be the last word of the third title of the previous entry.
3) Ignore articles (a, an, the).

- - dontʻ know if itʻll be any easier to play
on, but Iʻm changing the #3 of 24 to:

#31 doesn't play off of #30

Sep 7, 2018, 1:53pm Top

"31 doesnʻt play off 30"
(32) on 30>31

I thought to play e.g. "Hunter"S" (31)
on "Hunter" (30) was permissible. Is there a rule against it? Is it because of LTʻs systemic aversion to apostrophes?

Sep 7, 2018, 4:08pm Top

>33 rolandperkins: Apostrophes are fine, but the first word of your title should have been "hunter". In this game the first word of the next play should be the last word of the previous play. See >1 amanda4242: for the rules.

Sep 7, 2018, 8:46pm Top

Thanks, Amanda, for the clarification; but as for apostrophes
I don't see anything "fine" about them,, the way LT works for me

Dec 17, 2018, 8:12pm Top

Thanks for r-ativating the thread.

Iʻll take your word for it, and I deleted
the WordS > Word play, but, as I remember
it, this game does allow a singular to be played on a plural of the previous, and vice-versa.
The rules in (1) donʻt rule that out. You may have it mixed up with another game for which @mobilomaniac wrote the rule which DOES indeed specify that the word put into the next post must be EXACTLY the same a a word of the previous post

Dec 17, 2018, 8:48pm Top

It's not about plural/singular; it's that the first word of a title must be the last word of the previous title. You have been playing titles that share any word with the previous title, which is a different game.

Playing on >47 amaranthe:

The Time Machine by H. G. Wells
The Machine Crusade by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson
Crusade by David Weber

Dec 18, 2018, 12:21am Top

"Itʻs not about plural/singular . . ." (49>51)

Okay, I get it: "Time" should have been the first word.
