Make A Chain of Book Titles - A List of 3 Titles (Fiction/Non Fiction)Join LibraryThing to post. 1amanda4242Edited: Oct 11, 2017, 9:12pm
Rules:1) Each entry must have three titles. The last word of the first title must be the first word of the second title, the first word of the third title must be the last word of the second title. 2) The first word of a new entry must be the last word of the third title of the previous entry. 3) Ignore articles (a, an, the). #31 doesn't play off of #30
"31 doesnʻt play off 30" (32) on 30>31
I thought to play e.g. "Hunter"S" (31) on "Hunter" (30) was permissible. Is there a rule against it? Is it because of LTʻs systemic aversion to apostrophes?
>33 rolandperkins: Apostrophes are fine, but the first word of your title should have been "hunter". In this game the first word of the next play should be the last word of the previous play. See >1 amanda4242: for the rules.
Thanks, Amanda, for the clarification; but as for apostrophes I don't see anything "fine" about them,, the way LT works for me

Thanks for r-ativating the thread.
Iʻll take your word for it, and I deleted the WordS > Word play, but, as I remember it, this game does allow a singular to be played on a plural of the previous, and vice-versa. The rules in (1) donʻt rule that out. You may have it mixed up with another game for which @mobilomaniac wrote the rule which DOES indeed specify that the word put into the next post must be EXACTLY the same a a word of the previous post
"Itʻs not about plural/singular . . ." (49>51)
Okay, I get it: "Time" should have been the first word.

>133 rolandperkins: please remember, this is the game where the position of the words is important. The first word of a title should match the last word of the previous title. We can try playing a different way if you start a new thread with different rules!

"position of the words" (133-134). Right. Sorry.

Sorry and thanks for the reminder (151>152). No. But I might play on 153. | 420 members 250,710 messages AboutThis topic is not marked as primarily about any work, author or other topic. TouchstonesWorks- Beer Talk: A beer book for the rest of us! by Jack Johnson
