In the latest installment, William is still being vexed by Miles Faulkner. After William is promoted, and Beth is offered the job as the director of the Fitzmolean Gallery, they are both involved in schemes where Faulkner is trying to outwit them.
William is tasked with protecting the crown jewels from being stolen, and Beth has to reclaim the artwork that Miles has in his NYC apartment and exchange it for the copy hanging in the museum. Their children play a pivotal role in the solving of one of the heists.
Always enjoyable to read a Jeffrey Archer novel.

Abridged and read by Byron Jennings, the audio of this mystery, set in an interesting variety of locations, not the least of which is New York's Twin Towers on 9/11, was an interesting listen. The art theme inspired my husband and I to visit a couple of museums over the course of the 3 weeks we took listening to it on drives to and from work.

Archer can be relied on to write a page-turner in perfect English and without resorting to sex, swearing or violence. This is the 4th in the William Warwick series and I’m looking forward to the next two episodes that will close the series.

WOW! If I could give this book more than 5 stars, I totally would.

First, thanks to St. Martins Press for sending me an Advanced Readers Copy of this book.

Second, I loved, loved, loved this book! I first started reading Jeffrey Archer's book in the early 90s when my husband introduced me to the Kane and Abel series. After reading that series, I was hooked on his writing style and the stories. I've read pretty much every single one of them. This one was one of his best. If you read the Clifton Chronicles, you may remember that Harry Clifton is a writer and he "wrote" "Heads You Win". This book, like all of his others, get you hooked almost immediately and don't stop until the last word. This tells the story of Alex and his mother, Elena. They escape Leningrad by flipping a coin to determine whether they head to London or New York. Upon their arrival (I'm not divulging where they end up), the story continues playing out their lives in their new home.

Fabulous book....down to the last sentence.
