Flint's illustrations are marvelous. I don't think I have very much of his work, although it looks familiar. I've always loved these verses.

A facsimile of the famous 1925 edition by Golden Cockerel Press. Eric Gill's blending of the erotic and biblical was controversial at the time, and remains controversial now due to Gill's later fall from grace. Nonetheless, the book remains an important part of fine press history and the Folio Society's reproduction was well done.

If you need inspiration for a romance don't want me to read, check out SOS. It is so flowery and mushy and *shivers*
I don't care for love songs and romance.

A young Italian boy spends his days in the fields with his mother and at home with his grandfather, thinking of his father, who has traveled to America.
Inventive neither in its story or its writing, this one. Another Newbery Honor Book that hasn't aged particularly well, I think. *shrug*
