Description | Henry Stafford, 2nd Duke of Buckingham (1455–1483), a member of the Plantagenet dynasty, was married in childhood to Katherine Woodville, the queen's sister. He became a major supporter of Richard III and helped him become king of England. He then conspired with the supporters of Henry Tudor, Duke of Richmond, to seize the throne; he was summarily executed for his role in this rebellion. Buckingham is also a suspect in the disappearance of the young princes, Edward V and Richard, Duke of York. Henry Stafford, 2nd Duke of Buckingham in Wikipedia |
