A rare thing for me, I bought Penric's Progress and Travels (each having 3 novellas as an omnibus), instead of using the public library copies.elorin: I was familiar with Lois McMaster Bujold but I hadn't read the Penric and Desdemona books until someone mentioned them in the 75ers group. I love these!

I'm 70, so I grew up during the Women's Liberation Movement. (My sister was born on the 40th anniversary of the 19th amendment's ratification.) I had read about Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton, but never Ms. Gage. The reason for that shocked me. Not only was her life interesting, but the speculation that she inspired both Glinda and Dorothy in her son-in-law, L. Frank Baum's, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz was intriguing.
