Explanations
rxbert: I'm a long time fan of Michael Crichton (It is amazing to me that he passed in 2008; 15 years ago). I thought that I saw the film on 4th of July, 1993 (in Arlington, TX), but I just checked and Wiki says that it was released on June 11.

Explanations
rxbert: I was a big Stephen King fan back in the day. I was in the U.S. Army basic training when the movie came out. I will never forget the way that a whole movie theater full of soldiers in training jump-scared at the very end and that it didn't get me.
